This is the conclusion of a 4-part story on this blog so please read the other 3 parts for the complete story.
Phillip continued to be a very active part of our family. We learned a lot about him with the things he would do. We learned early on that he was missing his mom and that he had a practical joker sense of humor. We knew he was a boy but not sure how old he was. We also knew that he became protective of the family but not in a bad way. Even my ex-husband had the chance to see him in action on more that one occasion and that is really something else because he couldn't sense a ghost if it hit him over the head.
My oldest daughter took after me quite a bit when it came to being able to tune into ghosts and spirits. One late night after everyone else had gone to bed, my daughter and I decided that we wanted to find out as much about Phillip as we could. Mind you, this happened a few months after we realized he was there with us. We decided to contact him - or some people would rather call it a seance. Phillip made it very easy to converse with him and we thought that would be the case since he rather enjoyed our company all day and night long every single day and night.
The very amazing thing was that both my daughter and I would speak the same answers together as we received them from Phillip making this one of the easiest communication sessions ever. We asked his name and of course learned that it was Phillip. We wanted to know more about him. He told us that he was looking for his mother. He told us of a fire that broke out in their home and that he couldn't find his mother after that. He also told me that I reminded him of his mother so I suppose that is why he adopted me and kept calling me mom. He didn't want to leave and go with an angel to his next destination because he didn't want to risk losing the chance to be with his mother again even after we explained to him that he would find her if he moved on. At the time of communication, we learned that Phillip did not understand that he was deceased but after a while, he did understand that. Still, he did not want to leave as he felt that he may someday find his mother. He didn't want to let go of the Earth plane.
On another late weekend night, my daughter and I were goofing around on the computer. The house was very still and quiet. My computer was located in the family room next to the double windows on the wall that was the front of the house. My kitchen door was visible from that place and we had motion detection spotlights by the doors. There was some crackling noises coming from the computer speakers - like there was a short or bad connection but we just ignored it. It kept happening though so I turned the volume off on the speakers as it was becoming annoying. A minute later, the motion sensor lights came on by the kitchen door. Then we heard noises that sounded like something tapping on the windows right next to us. We figured that the lights came on because a squirrel or other animal ran by and this would happen often but the tapping noises - well we didn't have a clue. There were no branches or anything that could really be making that noise unless someone was out there doing it on purpose. It was a little nerve wracking.
Things quieted down and the speaker noises started up again even though lowering the volume stopped it before. I decided to unplug the speakers entirely and it stopped. The lights outside came back on again right after that. Then out of nowhere, this very loud and very distorted scary ass voice came blasting out of the unplugged speakers. I couldn't give you a clue what it said but it startled me and my daughter so much. I went to push my chair back to stand up very quickly as I was very freaked out at the unexpected creepiest voice I ever heard as it came wailing out of speakers that shouldn't produce any noise at all. I ended up pushing my chair back so hard, it tipped backward and I went with it. My daughter ended up laughing so hard and so did I after I realized it was just another one of Phillip's practical jokes - at my expense.
Phillip became very attached to my oldest daughter as well. He didn't seem to like it if she had a guy friend over. He would always appear in pictures of my daughter either as an orb, a part manifestation of a body part, a faint face, etc. One day when her boyfriend was over and my daughter and him were just sitting on the floor by a closet door, the door opened by itself and swung open hitting into my daughter's boyfriend. This is when we started to realize that Phillip was probably an older teenager or close to it as well as a bit jealous. Of course that was also confirmed with the babysitter's sister who was about 14 and Phillip wouldn't leave her hair alone.
One night after I spent some time cleaning before going to bed, I was having a chat with Phillip about this and that. We all spoke to him as we knew he could hear us clearly. I told him that I would like to know how old he was and I was wondering what he looked like. I thought he had light brown hair and had an idea of how tall he was. After my shower, I tucked myself into bed on a cold winter night and just got relaxed. My eyes were closed but I was still wide awake. You know when you get that really strong feeling that someone is watching you? Well that overwhelming feeling came over me and I opened my eyes. You don't usually expect to see someone staring back at you but this time, there was someone staring back at me. This young boy was right next to my bed. If I reached my arm out, I could have touched him. He was mostly solid but he became more transparent the further down his body went. After his stomach area, he was not really visible. I knew immediately it was Phillip. He had light brown hair with blond highlights and it was in a bowl cut. He was thin and was wearing a white baggy shirt with long sleeves that had ruffles at the ends of them. It was definitely from a time period long ago. He looked down at me and gave me a smile. I smiled back. He was only visible to me for about 8 seconds but that special visit really seemed to have made the bond with our family and especially with me, seem closer.
We lived with Phillip for ten years before we parted ways. It wasn't something we wanted to do but it was necessary. We tried so hard to have Phillip come with us but he didn't want to leave. He was still trying to wait for him mom. He understood that we had to leave but it was very hard for us to do. He did come to visit us on a few occasions but that was about it. We wondered what happened to him in the years that went by - always hoping that he found his way and was reunited with him mother. It was about a few years later that we found out from an old neighbor that many people have moved into and out of the house quickly. Even 10 years after we left, an old friend of my oldest daughter ended up buying the house even though she was acquainted with Phillip and she confirmed that he was still a resident however, he did not interact with her and her family as he did with ours. She lived there a few years and moved on. To this day, we still do not know if Phillip moved on but I know that he will eventually make his way home. They all do - even if it takes a few centuries, which I pray it doesn't take him that long to move on.
